The Responsible AI Student Organization (RAISO) is the premier AI club at Northwestern University. We welcome any and all students at Northwestern to join!
RAISO is made up of 6 teams that work together to bring AI discussions, events and education to Northwestern. All Northwestern students are able to attend education sessions curated by the education team or events planned by our events team. In the fall and spring we take applications for students interested to be a member on any one of the 6 teams. Below you can read a bit more about what each team does.
RAISO’s Education Committee shapes conversations about technology on Northwestern’s campus. We hold weekly catered discussions on “AI and X” topics, including how AI interacts with art, the environment, the criminal justice system, healthcare, and social media.
With the Projects team, you will spend the quarter learning AI concepts and machine learning algorithms, then applying them to building a real-world project in weekly workshops.
RAISO invites speakers from a variety of AI backgrounds to share their perspectives, work, and engage in open conversations through firesides and lectures.
RAISO's new Business Development team organizes collaborations with undergraduate business clubs on tech/AI-related cases.
The Website team focuses on using UX research and design to best understand how to present RAISO to the Northwestern community. We edit and maintain this very website!
